Living Water Ministries’ Adopt-A-Child sponsorship program is much more than a feeding ministry. Like Jesus, who reached people with the love of God by ministering to the whole person, the Adopt-A-Child program seeks to reach whole families for Christ by ministering to their children.

Our primary objective is to reach people with the saving message of Jesus Christ. But, to do so, we must first win their trust. We do this through a demonstration of God’s love - by providing nourishing meals, medical care and genuine friendship. Bible classes and Gospel messages are graciously offered to participants. Frequently parents, who see the difference the program is making in their children, come to inquire. They are also given an opportunity to know Jesus Christ.

This strategy of loving outreach in Guatemala has borne fruit during the past 20 years. In Guatemala, Living Water Ministries has touched thousands of families. Many of the children of early programs have now grown and are in churches that were planted by Living Water Ministries. Some of these adults are in the ministry and are helping to reach the next generation for Christ.

In recent years Living Water Ministries has started another AAC program in Albania, in eastern Europe. As a Muslim culture, the Albanians were at first very suspicious of our Christianity. Now, however, in the areas where the AAC program is active, their suspicions have turned to respect, and many former Muslims have given their lives to Jesus Christ!
